Private Lessons & Group Clinics...

The Club offers two full time professional tennis instructors that have a variety of programs for tennis enthusiasts. Each instructor is highly regarded for their abilities and can satisfy the tennis needs of all players. Below is a general description of their background. For more detailed information including prices and scheduling, you may contact the pros at The Advantage Club.

While available for any type of instruction, Tennis Director, Bob Gardner operates a large, comprehensive junior clinic program weekday afternoons. Bob also coaches and organizes Ladies and Junior Traveling Teams.

Bob is a central Ohio native who won the AAA State singles championship out of Upper Arlington High School. He was a full scholarship player for Miami University, team captain and NCAA participant with a sanctioned win over John McEnroe! As a pro, Bob was ranked #1 in the Ohio Valley Open Division and #3 in the Western Open Division. He has over 15 years teaching experience. Bob now resides in Granville with his wife and five children.   For more information and to easily contact Bob, go to his website at www.GardnerTennis.com.

Also available for all instruction needs, Head Pro Clint Storey is most interested in helping people become the best athlete/tennis player they desire. Clint is widely regarded as the 'Racquet Guru'! Self described as a 'puller rather than a pusher'.

Special Events & Programs...

Throughout the year, many special events are held at the Club.

Social Mixers are held several times each year for members. (Guests are invited occasionally.) Mixers play Friday evenings from 6 to 10pm and include all levels of players. Our staff is on hand to 'mix' players in short matches throughout the evening to ensure fun and competitive play. Many mixers are pot-luck events and sometimes a twist is added (you may be asked to play with a wood racquet!)

Tournaments are held for the competitive players. The Club is proud to organize and host the Licking County Tennis Tournament (LCTT) in August of each year. The LCTT was established in 1922 and is open to all players who live or work in Licking County.

Traveling Teams are offered for Men, Women, and Students at various times of the year. Adult teams are ppart of the USTA Leagues and scheduled in the Columbus area. Student teams are organized by the teaching pros and reciprocate with other student programs in central Ohio.

Ball Machine workouts are a great way to fine tune your game. The Club has a Match mate programmable ball machine available for rent by the 1/2 hour or for the year.

Racquet Stringing by USRSA certified stringer Clint Storey is available to all members and guests.

The Pro Shop offers racquets, balls, grips, bags, clothes, and many other accessories for players. many items are in stock and orders are made daily. The Club is member service oriented and will keep cost to a minimum.
